Our Holy Week begins on Palm Sunday in our own town, Sanlúcar, accompanying Our Lady of Victory, the Marian image of the Brotherhood of La Borriquita (Little Donkey).
This is a joyful brotherhood with which we already had experience from previous periods, and to which we returned in 2022.
The Brotherhood is based at the Puerta de Jerez, in the heart of the Barrio Alto of Sanlúcar, and is notable for the large number of children among its ranks, who accompany the images each Palm Sunday.
For this reason, the repertoire we perform behind the red canopy of Our Lady of Victory consists of bright and triumphant marches - as could not be otherwise - without forgoing works of a more classical character.
